Acknowledgment

These are the Terms of Service governing the use of this service and the agreement that operates between you and FABAwards. These Terms of Service address the rights and obligations of all users regarding the use of the service.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

You confirm that you are over the age of 18. FABAwards does not permit those under 18 to use the service.

Your access to and use of the service is conditional on your acceptance of and compliance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information when you use the service and tells you about your privacy rights.

Your information

If you wish to submit an Entry through the service, You will be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Entry including, without limitation, your name, your email, your phone number, a credit card number, the expiration date of the credit card and a billing address.

You confirm and warrant that: (i) You have the legal right to use any credit or debit card(s) or other payment method(s) in connection with any order; and that (ii) the information you supply to us is true, correct and complete.

By submitting such information, you grant us the right to provide the information to payment processing third parties for purposes of facilitating the completion of your order.

User accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms of Service, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the service and for any activities or actions under your password.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your account, by contacting info@fabawards.com.

Content

Our service allows you to submit and upload content. You are responsible for the content that you submit and upload to the service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

You retain any and all of the rights to any content you submit or upload through the service and you are responsible for protecting those rights.

You confirm and warrant that: (i) the content is yours (you own it) or you have the right to use it (ii) the submitting and uploading of content through the service does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person or organisation.

Content backups

Although regular backups of content are performed, FABAwards does not guarantee there will be no loss or corruption of data.

FABAwards will provide support and attempt to troubleshoot any known or discovered issues that may affect the backups of content. But you acknowledge that FABAwards has no liability related to the integrity of content or the failure to successfully restore content to a usable state.

You agree to maintain a complete and accurate copy of any content in a location independent of the service.

Payment

Payment for Entries is by Credit Card/Bank Transfer/PayPal. Remember that UK entrants must pay VAT on top.

Payment cards (credit cards or debit cards) are subject to validation checks and authorisation by your card issuer. If we do not receive the required authorisation, we will not be liable for any delay or non-completion of your order.

Processing of Entries

FABAwards will endeavour to process all Entries, but in the event of any delay or non-completion of an Entry for any reason, FABAwards will not be liable for any consequences.

Deadline for entries

Deadline for Entries is 7th March, 2024. Please contact us by e-mail or telephone. Judging is much earlier this year so extensions might only be for a few days. (A FINAL Entry Deadline Extension is available for The 25th FAB Awards to 26th March, 2024 if you contact us).

Cancellation rights

Entries submitted for The Awards cannot be withdrawn and Entry Fees become due and cannot be refunded once projects are prepared for Judging.

Withdrawal of any Entry therefore must be BEFORE the First Entry Deadline: 7th March, 2024.

Judging

Judging is on April 2024 by International Juries in London. All Jury decisions are FINAL. Jury Panels may choose to award in several categories or may choose to award in only a few. Judges will have the final say on maintaining high standards for the year.

Judges are Senior Creative Directors, Art Directors, Design Directors, Designers, Through the Line Specialists, Account Handlers and Clients too.

Criteria work is judged on are: Creativity, Creativity, Creativity – I wish I had done that work and Creative Effectiveness, of course.

All Finalists will be contacted straight after the Judging. All Winners will ONLY be revealed at The FAB Awards Ceremony. All Entrants will be sent a list of Finalists too.

Awards

The 26th FAB Awards evening in honour of Winners and Finalists is scheduled for June 2024. Date TBA.

A Winner of a FAB Award is the equivalent of a Gold Standard Award. A Winner of a FABulous Award is the equivalent of a Best in Show/Grand Prix. A Nomination/Finalist is the equivalent of a Silver Award and all Nominees receive an actual trophy.

To get a duplicate trophy for a client, please contact us.

Your privacy is very important to us.

We don’t ask you for personal information unless we need it for the operation of the site.

We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop the site, or protect our rights.

We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of the site.

When visitors interact with the site we collect the data requested in the forms, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Who we share your data with

Payments are securely handled by Stripe. Their privacy policy is available here: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

Your data is retained for as long as a user is registered with us. For users that register, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can view the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us, in your profile. To delete your profile and all the information we hold, select ‘Delete Account’ from the dropdown in the top menu bar. Alternatively, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you by contacting info@fabawards.com. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal or security purposes.
